Why building an ocean purpose brand?
Our recommendations encourage each business to invest in brand and mission-aligned nonprofit solutions that are critical for the planet and that help the business thrive.
92% of consumers say they have a more positive image of the company when they support a social or environmental issue. 89% of consumers would switch brands to one associated with a cause, given equal or comparable value.
Ocean advocates love Turtles and probably you too if you are reading this. Sea turtles are iconic animals, which nobody wants to lose. By partnering with Turtle Rescue organizations your ocean brand can demonstrate to your customers and employees that your company wants to be part of the solution.
If you choose rescuing turtles as your purpose for your Ocean activist brand, here are few top organizations that can be aligned with your Ocean Brand’s mission. You can choose a Worldwide mission or a locally-based organization.
Reason to back Turtle conservations programs:
Sea turtle populations declined by 80% during the last century, largely due to human threats. Famous species in danger are Hawksbill, loggerhead, Green turtle, Leatherback turtle, Flatbacks, Kemps ridleys and Olive Ridleys.

Build official partnerships, not scams
You want to build a real business with real values and real promises. Are you aware of the term greenwashing? If you are using sustainability just as pure marketing, the ball will bounce back against you sooner or later. Make sure to build mutual agreement partnerships with organizations that share the same values as your brand. Also, ensure that they are happy to have their name associated with your brand before posting their logo on your website or social media post, many of these organizations offer partnering packages where they let you put their logo on your marketing in exchange for annual donations… Some organizations offer tracking and verifiable resources for every purchase or donation. These will enhance your trust as a reputable ocean activist brand.

Another model is adopting a turtle. Your Ocean activist brand can support non-profit organizations by symbolically adopting a sea turtle patient. Adoptions directly benefit the continued care and treatment of threatened species. Many non-profits offer adoption packages. Make sure you build a trustworthy solid partnership before engaging sales.
Another alternative is full fill an application with 1% for the planet organization. and include turtle organizations as supporting partners. This would not allow you to have a logo directly with organizations but 1% is
International organizations
Here is a list of our top worldwide Turtle Conservation Organizations:
Sea Turtle Conservancy
Sea Turtle Conservancy is one of the most popular worldwide organizations out there. Formerly the Caribbean Conservation Corporation is the oldest non-profit sea turtle conservation organization in the world. The group’s primary objective is to “ensure the survival of sea turtles within the Caribbean, Atlantic, and Pacific through research, education, training, advocacy and protection of the natural habitats upon which they depend.” They believe that the survival or extinction of sea turtles around the world will reflect the overall health of the planet.
Sea Turtle preservation society
The Sea Turtle Preservation Society is a Florida-based nonprofit which focuses on environmental outreach and education, beach cleanups, and rescue stranded or sick turtles. They also help monitor hatchlings and return them to the sea, as well as assisting the Florida Fish and Wildlife in surveying nests during the breeding season.
See Turtle Organization
See Turtle is a non-profit organization that protects sea turtles through conservation travel and volunteer tours, educational programs, and Billion Baby Turtles. Their award-winning programs help save sea turtle hatchlings on important nesting beaches around the world, work with the tourism industry to end the turtle shell trade and educate students and travelers about how to help save sea turtles.
Turtle Island Restoration Network
Turtle Island Restoration Network (TIRN) has been a leading advocate for the world’s oceans and marine wildlife for 30 years. Their work is based on science, fueled by people who care, and effective at catalyzing long-lasting positive change that protects the likes of green sea turtles, whale sharks and coho salmon. Their mission is to mobilize people in local communities around the world to protect marine wildlife and the oceans and inland watersheds that sustain them.
